Zaha has been linked with both Spurs and Chelsea during the summer but Palace’s £75m valuation of their prised asset has put off potential suitors.

Speaking on tonight’s The Debate show, Parish said: “It would be a ridiculous point to do it, wouldn’t it? I mean to go the whole transfer window and only think about it now to come in with a bid would be ridiculous.”

BELLAMY: I LOVE KOVACIC

Craig Bellamy has admitted that he ‘loves’ Mateo Kovacic as a player and has tipped the Croatian midfielder to make a big impact in the Premier League.

Kovacic is set to join Chelsea on a season-long loan from Real Madrid as part of the deal taking Thibaut Courtois to the Bernabeu.

“I played against him, I think he was about 17 then and it was a ‘whose this?’ moment, he was that good,” Bellamy said on Sky Sports News.

“I’m actually really excited to see him in the Premier League, I’ve watched him a lot. He hasn’t got the game time at Real Madrid, I love him as a player and think he’s a really good signing.”

BELLAMY: CHELSEA DID THE RIGHT THING

Craig Bellamy believes that Chelsea did the right thing by allowing Thibaut Courtois to join Real Madrid after the Belgian international made clear his desire to move for personal reasons.

Speaking on SSN, Bellamy said: “It was just a  matter of time. Chelsea made the right noises as well, if they were going to get a goalkeeper in, they weren’t going to stand in Courtois’ way.

“They’ve paid a lot of money now for a goalkeeper [Kepa] they obviously rate highly. The manager now is starting to find his feet, it’s still early days for him at the football club but I look at the Courtois deal as it was inevitable, he had personal reasons and Chelsea have done the right thing.

“It’s a great loss to the Premier League because he is an outstanding goalkeeper but actually I’m quite excited to see who they’ve got now. It could be a great bit of business for them in the long run.”
